This 4th of July was so fun! From Friday to Sunday morning, I went to a cabin with my boyfriend and his family in Wolfcreek and it was amazing! There were about 40 people there and it was such a great time.

Then on Sunday night, we went to my house and did a dinner and a firework show in the front yard with some neighbors. It was so fun!

CoLoR fEsTiVaL 2010!!

Every year at the Hindu Temple in Spanish Fork, there is a Color Festival where they throw chalk in the air and it is just a big party. I had never been to it, but I had seen pictures of friends that had and I was always really jealous of those that got to go. So I decided that I would go this year and it was......well....interesting. A big group of us went down and I was really excited, little did I know what was about to happen.

Let me explain this process to you.....there are 2 sessions of the Color Festival, one at 12pm and one at 4pm. So the people that went at 12 already were covered head to toe in chalk and still had some that they would throw on people. I thought that you would only throw the chalk when they said, "ok, go!" but I was wrong. People throw it on you whenever, wherever, and with however much they want. You can just be walking and BAMMM! chalk is thrown in your eyes, mouth,
everywhere!

And here are some pictures of us walking back to our cars.....covered in chalk is an understatement. It was in between my toes, but I HAD SHOES AND SOCKS ON!!!!

I had a fun time with friends and seeing what this was all about....however, I am in no way counting down the days until the next Color Festival. I was in the shower for 45 mins and had chalk and color in places that it does not belong! I had a good time, but it was one of those things I will only do once.

Raging Waters is About to Open!!

So it is almost that time of the year when the stress comes, sleepless nights, longest days, and crazy hours.....YEP!! Raging Waters is about to open. For those of you who don't know, my parents own Raging Waters Water Park in SLC. I have worked there every summer since I was 9 except for last summer when I was a nanny. It is a great place to work; although it causes an immense amount of stress with wondering what the weather will be like every day and if employees will show up so that we can open the park, it is a great business and we are very blessed to have it in our lives. A Little Over Due Post

Nothing too exciting as been going on lately, hence no pictures or something to blog about. There have been a few things going on but nothing that requires pictures. Well, aside from Christmas and Thanksgiving, that is. Also I started school, moved to a new house in Provo, started a new job, enjoyed the holidays, and rang in the New Year by sitting on the couch (alone...feel bad for me) and watching the ball drop in NYC.

Speaking of the New Year, I decided to jump on the "let's make ridiculously extreme New Years Resolution" bandwagon and make some not-so-ridiculously extreme resolutions. I only have two this year that I think will change a lot in my life.

The first one is to just be more positive. Positivity is something that I thought I had but then I realized that I needed to improve on being positive. I need to start my day thinking that it is going to be a great one and I need to end it with listing all the great things that happened. I also need to be more positive with people. Sometimes if things don't go my way, I tend to get VERY mad at the people around me. I know this is wrong and I need to work on it.

My second resolution is to work harder in school. I haven't always been the best student, I have just been doing the bare minimum. I know that if I will work harder and be the best student that I can be, I will be happier and less-stressed.

Abby Janelle Combs

I have been thinking so much lately about my older sister. She is the most incredible woman, besides my own mother, that I know. She is beautiful, intelligent, funny, and most importantly, she is a mother herself. She was the most amazing pregnant lady and now she has her own daughter. I know that Olivea knows how great her mom is, even at a young age, because that is just how Abby is. Abby has a way of making everyone love her; she is so great with people and everyone is just drawn to her. She is so talented; she was a cheerleader in high school and in college. She is an amazing example to me of, "When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade!" Abby hasnt always had the easiest life, or the most enjoyable journey, but when I look back on her life, I am in awe of the woman she has become. She has made an incredible life for herself and her family.

The thing that I love most about Abby is her mothering talent! Ever since I can remember, she has had a special bond with children, especially babies. I have always been afraid of brand new babies, I like kids...like 5 years old. No diapers, no getting them dressed, no holding their neck so you dont hurt them. But Abby has an amazing talent and is the most extraordinary mother. Olivea is one lucky girl.

One of my best friends, Lauren, got married this weekend. It was such a beautiful day and I was honored that I was able to be involved in so much of it. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Her dress, hair, makeup, husband, and flowers all looked AMAZING! I am so happy for them! Here are few pictures of that wonderful day! I hope both of you are enjoying the BAHAMAS!

Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with weddings. I love the dress, the RING, the colors, the Temple, the WHOLE DAY! My family thinks I am nuts, but I look at wedding videos on youtube and I look at dresses online. I love looking at rings. Here are a few ideas I have for m own wedding.....whenever that comes!!!!

Olivea"s Blessing

Well Olivea was blessed on Sunday, November 15th, 2009 by her father. It was such a wonderful day. Garron gave a beautiful blessing and Olivea looked incredible. It was such a neat experience. I have been to a lot of blessings before but none that are this close to me. It was amazing! I loved the whole day. We were surrounded by lots of close friends and family. Again, it was just a beautiful day!

This Weekend

This weekend I just hung around. On Friday my best friends and I had a sleepover and it was the funniest night of my life thus far! I have never laughed so hard ever! I mean laughter to the point of no breathing, crying, and rolling on the floor. It was so nice to see all my girls...especially since one of them is getting married so soon, which means we wont be able to see her as much. I am so grateful for the girl friends I have. I know they would do anything for me and I would do anything for them! I love you Bry Bry, Ash, Lys Lys, Stace Face, and Mrs Hansen!

On Saturday I went home to watch the BYU game and to do my laundry! It was so fun, I love being home on Saturdays. (Since my parents own a waterpark and Saturdays are the busiest days, our Fall Saturdays are almost sacred. We love to be outside, enjoying the nice weather, go to the movies, and do yard work. Well we dont love yard work, but my dad says that doing yard work means the Waterpark is closed!) Anyway, on Saturday my family went to go see The Box. The movie with Cameron Diaz, it was awful1!! There was no real story line and it was just not what we expected. Diaz was not great, which made it worse.

That was my weekend, nothing too exciting but it was a great weekend!

Halloween

This year I was struggling with a costume, I didnt know what I wanted to be. I always have an idea in my head and then when Halloween comes and I put on the costume, I feel so stupid. Although everyone is dressed up, I still hate it. I had gone through a Wonder Woman costume, a school-girl, and then a cowgirl. I ended up being that and I felt ok about it. It was fun!

My friends and I went to the UVU dance on Friday. That was an experience; although I go to UVU and I love it, I try and stay away from the UVU dances. They are always a little on the risky side and not really what I want to be around, but my roommate convinced me to go. Otherwise, I would had stayed at home all night, I am so lame lately! (Now that I have a real job and come home tired!) We went to the dance and it was fun, I saw a lot of people that I knew; we had a good time!

Then on Saturday my other friends and I went to a Haunted House and a dance party in Provo. The Haunted House was so fun...I LOVE being scared!! The dance party was fun as well!

So my little sister is probably the most beautiful girl I know. She is loved by so many and always has had a big group of friends. She is just so outgoing, funny, talented, caring, loving, and always concerned with those around her. She is at Utah State and she is doing so well; she loves it so much and is having a wonderful time! Every night she is doing something more fun and crazy than the night before. I wish I would have had the experience that she is having.

I thought I would blog about her because I have been thinking about her a lot lately. She was home this weekend and it was so great to see her!

Baby Olivea, the cutest baby to come to earth, is being blessed on Sunday November 1st. Isnt her announcement soooo cute! Abby, you did a great job!! I love this baby and I am so glad that she is here and healthy!

So lately has been busy, and for real this time. I have been so busy with school and working and I havent updated this is forever! Not too much has been going on since I last posted, just school and now I am working for Western Wats, a market research team in Lindon. It's fun, I like it, its not hard work and I only work 2 days a week. I work with a lot of fun people and its a job, so I cant complain.
Also, my older sister had her baby on September 12, 2009 at 10:45 pm. She had a beautiful girl, Olivea Janelle Combs. She was 7 lbs, 14 oz. Abby went into the hospital at about 9:30 am and didnt fully dialate until about 6 pm, then she started pushing and pushed for 3 hours. Unfortunately, Olivea was "sunny-side up" and was a little twisted, so she wasnt going to come out any time soon. They brought out the "vacuum sucker" to see if that would help. But once again, it wasnt doing any good. So they told Abby that she would have to do a C-section. We were all sad but we knew that was best for the baby and the mother. The C-section went well, then Abby went to recover and Olivea went to the Nursery.
The next day Olivea was moved to the NICU because the vacuum had given her a major conehead. She also wasnt eating at all so they had her on an IV to feed her. She spent 5 days in the NICU before going home. She is home now and doing so well! We love her and cant imagine our lives without her!!

Summer So Far!

Ok so I started my nanny job the first week of June and I have loved it so much! I nanny for 4 boys and 1 girl! They are active, outgoing, fun, talented kids and I couldn't ask for a better job!

-Megan is 12. She is only with us on Mondays, unless we go to Raging Waters, then she is with us. She is a beautiful, smart, fun girl and is very responsible! She is great with the boys and I love when she is over at the house!

-Conner is 11. He is the oldest boy, and is also very responsible! He loves sports, just recently started playing lacrosse! He is getting really good at it! He will start football camp soon...he is such a boy!

-Stockton is 8. He is the easy going, crazy one! He is down for anything. He just recently got contacts...exciting! He doesn't like chores, but always gets them done! He is a good older brother and likes to show his younger brothers how to do things!

-Garrett is 7. He is a sports boy too! He just finished baseball and also starts football camp next week! He is always willing to help around the house. He makes funny comments that are out of the blue but make me laugh so hard!

-Zander is 5. He is so fun! He LOVES David Archuletta! He is my little pal; at 7 Peaks yesterday (I know, Im a traitor!) he kept saying, "I only wanna go where you wanna go!" He loves to play with my dog Brody too!

These boys are so fun! I love my job and I cant wait to see what exciting adventues happen this summer!! Thanks Amy and Niel for letting me hang out with such great kids!

Long Time, No Post....I KNOW!!

Ok so lately I have been super busy?.....no LAZY! My computer is really slow, so I haven't been wanting to spend my whole day blogging!

Anyway, this is what has been going on since February:

1. I finished up my sophomore year of college at Dixie.

2. Found out that my sister, Abby is pregnant.

3. Moved home.

4. Got a wonderful nanny job.

5. Went to St George and saw Brian Reagan.

6. Got a boyfriend...haha!!

7. Started the nanny job.

8. Water park (Raging Waters) opened.

9. Started school again.

10. Found out that Abby is having a GIRL!!!!! After we thought it was a boy for like 2 months!

11. Went to Vegas for a convention.

Thats been my life so far, I hope to post pictures soon! And I also am making a goal to be a better blogger!!!

Ok so I am such a slacker when it comes to blogging!!!! I have the slowest computer so it takes like an hour to just upload like 10 pics! But here is a little recap of what has been going on in my life.

Christmas: Yah I havent blogged since then!! Christmas was great, I loved being with my family and hanging out at home. I never realized how much food my family had! Haha, I am such a lame college student! Anyway, for Christmas I got a trip to Vegas with my mom and I am SOO excited! We are going March 17-20th! I cant wait, it will be so nice to just be in warm weather, on vacation, spending money, shopping, and going to shows! Thanks MOMMY!

January: New semester! I love spring semester, it seems to go by so much faster than Fall! I am taking Math, Biology, Geography, Library class, and History. Nothing fun! I have good teachers and friends in the classes so it makes it easier to attend! ALSO....my sister Abby is PREGNANT!!!!! She is due is Sept. We aren't sure what she is having but we are SOOO excited! Congrats Combs!! I love you and cant wait to be an aunt!

February: Well in Feb my grandparents took the WHOLE family to HAWAII!! It was amazing! It was their 50th Wedding Anniversary so they gave the whole family an all-expense paid vacation to Hawaii! I love them so much and it was an amazing trip!! Pics will come!! I also decided that I am moving back to Provo with my friend Lyndsey for Fall semester to be closer to my sisters baby! I would hate to miss out on the birth and the first few months of the new baby so I made this big decision to finish my last semester at UVU and then transfer, hopefully, to BYU. We'll see but I am very excited to be back up in Provo!

Well nothing else exciting has gone on. However, this weekend I am going home (I know I was just there) but my mom is taking her Young Women to the Draper Temple Tour and invited me to come. I am very excited....also I have 3 dates in 3 days up there so what could be a better excuse to come home?

So next week is Finals Week and so on Saturday we decided to take a little break from studying and just hang out! My roommates and I went to Pirate Island Pizza and then we played Catch Phrase with some other friends. Of course I was camera happy and took loads of picutres....mostly just of me haha! (I need to take more pictures to send to Raleigh...he sends me a ton and I never send him any!)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so much fun! I love the holidays! I went up on Tuesday, November 25th and we had a surprise party for my sister's 18 birthday! We thought that for sure she would know, but she had no idea! Then Wednesday we just hung out around the house with the family, which is my favorite thing to do; working and going to school stinks so sometimes it is nice to just sit at home by the fire with your family. Then Thursday was Thanksgiving and the girls got up in the morning and helped with the food and then we went, as a family, to play football. Its a tradition and I cant wait for Raleigh to get home so that he can he part of that tradition! He will fit right in because he loves sports! Here are a few pictures of my weekend at home!

Ok so Christmas is vastly approaching and I didnt know what I wanted until Raleigh wrote me and told me that my wardrobe is boring! Can you even believe that? He shouldnt be caring about what I am wearing until we are married, then he can buy all my clothes for me! haha! He said that all I wear is solid colors, which isnt true; I have clothes with designs on them, but I am too nervous to branch out. My mom and sister, Shelby, have the cutest clothes and always look super trendy, due to the fact that they just got back from NY and since Shelby is the only girl at home, she gets super spoiled! So I thought what better time to get a new wardrobe then Christmas??? Here are some ideas of what I want for Christmas, hopefully Raleigh will approve of this stuff...jk!

St George

I moved to St George on Aug. 16 2008 and I am loving it! I live with 5 other great girls! Here is a little about them....

Alexis is my roommate and she is on the Dixie Volleyball team. She is a freshman from Ogden. She is so fun! I got lucky to have her as my roommate!

Jette is a freshman from Park City. She is fun and has the gift of being able to talk to anyone about anything! Strangers scare me, they dont scare her!

Sami is also a freshman from Park City, her and Jette are sisters. Today is Sami's birthday ps! She is sooo fun and athletic, I told Raleigh that she is totally his type; except for one thing...she's not me! Haha just kidding!

Kylie is a freshman from Sandy. She is boy crazy, but what girl isnt at 18?!? Her, I and one other roommate do pretty much everything together! She is great!

Lyndsey is my best friend!!!! She is from Clarkston, which is by Logan. She also has a missionary and so we frequently talk about Jace (her boyfriend) and Raleigh! She also works with me! Weird story, I came down in July to look at apts down here and she happened to be here the same day and thats when we decided to live together....crazy huh? I love her sooo much!

So I thought I would update everyone with Elder Williams' mission stauts! He is currently in Clairmont, CA (which he is happy about cause the houses in this area actually have Air Conditioning.) He has been out almost 6 months (Nov. 21 will be 6 months!) and has been a part of 3 baptisms!! Yahoo! He is doing great! He is loving the people, his roommates and companion. He sends me pictures quite often so here are some!!
